This is a two part Arts Programme - Memories of Glasgow & Glasgow Parks Brushed by Older People.
Memories of Glasgow: A group of Older people learning all about digital photography went out into the Glasgow Parks and took some pictures for an Older Peoples Art Group to Paint.
They will also go out into this great City of ours and capture the memories they have of growing up and living life in Glasgow. They will then place them in a Photobook and will continue to develop their learning about digital photography and also how to create a Photobook.
Once the pictures have been placed in the photoboks the group will share some of their special memories in a separate Photobook which will be displayed at the centre and will then go on tour in the local area and out into the City too.
This digital part of the art programme will enhance the learning of the digital world for them plus they will have something to keep their memories of Glasgow alive when the programme finishes.
Glasgow Parks brushed by Older People:The Art Group will over the coming months have the assistance of an Art Tutor to guide them through the stages of planning and setting down their interpretations of the pictures of Glasgow Park images which were taken by the Digital Photography Group.
This will build up their confidence in their painting ability, develop their painting skills gain knowledge in how to start a picture from start to finish, learning new techniques in how to do this along the way.
Their works will also be displayed at the Centre before it goes out to other venues in the local area and City.
