Living Life and getting Something Positive out of It
We were successful in our application to Awards for All and have secured funding to deliver 4 strands to our programme going into the next financial year: Digital Photography which will enhance the learning of older people in digital imaging and learning how to create a photobook, enable an older peoples art group learn new skills and create a portfolio which they will show off to the local community in an event in the coming year. It will also see the establishment of a group called SKYY (Singing Keeps You Young) which will be held on a monthly basis and enable older people to come together to sing songs from yester year and keep memories alive and if they feel energetic they can get up and have a wee dance too. It will also fund a women’s group and women of all ages can come together to participate in gentle exercise, aromatherapy, nails & beauty stress management/confidence boosting workshops. Without this funding we would not be in a position to offer the above programme so it is greatly appreciated and much needed in the community.
